I am going to send information on the defense, attack, technique, strategy and the positioning of the goalkeeper in Futsal.
These will be concise comments, designed so that coaches can apply and develop them in accordance with the characteristics of their teams.
The Defense:
1. A good defensive system without good defenders doesn't exist. Therefore, we will have to teach individual defensive technique.
2. In defense, imagination does not exist, only solidarity, spirit of sacrifice, and team work.
3. The defense symbolizes the true spirit of the team: all suffering, helping it and striving for an objective: stealing the ball.
4. The more defensive lines we have in opposition to the rival, the more we obstruct their attack.
5. The 2-2 defensive system is the most vulnerable because it has only two lines and, besides, they're parallel. In this case, with a pass you can beat the two players.
6. The 3-1 defensive system is more practical. If the attack is carried out to the right or the left, the other defender forms another defensive line.
7. The goalkeeper conforms with the last line of defense, and we try to make him as active as possible.
8. The first defender is the man closest to the front. He influences the direction when he applies defensive pressure, when he divides the attack and it is carried out two against one.
9. Lastly, we should keep in mind that the best defensive system is the one that best adapts to the characteristics of our players. One must search for the equilibrium between the comfort of the players in their positions and the maximum efficiency of the system.
